About this session

This session informs Export Control Officers about the distinctions and overlaps of CUI and Export Control regulations. We will argue that once an ECO can identify what regulations apply, they can help reduce administrative burdens through narrowly defining applicable controls. In particular, we show how ECOs can anchor interpretations of contracts to regulatory text in order to navigate inconsistent contracts and policies among sponsors.
