Christopher Buckland has over 15 years of experience with export controls in the context of the UK Higher Education sector across military and dual use applications.

More widely within Cranfield, he is responsible for their holistic approach to secure internationalization and the associated compliance and culture responsibilities. As the current HEECA Co-Chair he has broader sector wide responsibility for convening and managing collaborative engagement across UK government bodies, the Higher Education (HE) Community, Industry, and their international partners to address export control compliance and the wider Trusted Research agenda. Through proactive outreach and development of tools and training materials informed by community engagement, they provide a scalable suite of resources for the  benefit of the UK HE community and their international partners.
