Special Agent (SA) Mehrdad Moarefian joined OEE in 2019, from the Office of Exporter Services, where he served as an Export Administration Specialist, educating exporters on EAR controls. SA Moarefian received his B/A/ in Political Science, with an emphasis on International Relations from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a M.A. in European and International Affairs from Linköping University in Sweden. SA Moarefian also served four-years as an active-duty U.S. Marine and received a Purple Heart during his deployment to Fallujah, Iraq.
